Prime Minister Narendra Modi will interact with beneficiaries at the PM Janman Mega Event in Hazaribagh, Jharkhand, on Gandhi Jayanti, October 2. It will be a proud moment for Chhattisgarh as he will interact with Smt. Mankuwari Bai, a member of the Pahari Korwa tribal community, recognised as a Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Group (PVTG).
The state government has provided numerous benefits to PVTGs under the Pradhan Mantri Janman Yojana in Jashpur district. As part of this initiative, Smt. Mankuwari Bai, from Kutma village in the Bagicha development block, has been invited to attend the PM Janman Mega Event on October 2, 2024.
Smt. Mankuwari Bai has greatly improved her income through agricultural work and various other activities. Alongside farming, she is involved in duck rearing and collecting tendupatta, mahua, chiraunji, and sal seeds. Her dedication has earned her an annual income of Rs. 2.7 lakh, giving her the title of “Lakhpati Didi.” Smt. Mankuwari Bai left for Hazaribagh, Jharkhand, from Jashpur on Monday.
